A golf course is an area in nature that is cultivated to play the game of golf. A standard golf course consists of 18 holes, but there are golf courses that have only 9 holes. Each hole has fairways and greens that lead to the hole. Golf courses are designed around trees, water, and rough terrain.
The golf course itself will always be well-maintained, and the greens where the holes are situated are kept short and free of debris. A golf course can be designed to include other difficulties like sand holes, high trees, etc. The golf player needs to work through these difficult parts to get to the end.
